Janson Junk coasts on 56 pitches for five scoreless innings in win

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Marlins Correspondent | Thu, Apr 23rd 4:22am EDT

Janson Junk allowed no earned runs on one hit and one walk while striking out two over five innings in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact:

Junk was extremely efficient in this one, tossing just 56 pitches through five innings. He bounced back nicely after allowing seven earned runs combined in his previous two starts. He now holds a 3.67 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 17 strikeouts across 27 innings pitched this season, and will look to carry the momentum from Wednesday's performance into his next scheduled outing on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
