Antonio Senzatela picks up second save of season

Antonio Senzatela recorded the final five outs on Friday, striking out one, as the Rockies hung on for a 4-3 win over the Mets.

Senzatela came on with two on and one out in the eighth inning and was able to get Mark Vientos to line into an inning-ending double play. He finished off the Mets with a 1-2-3 ninth inning, striking out pinch-hitter, MJ Melendez, to end the game. It was Senzatela's second save of the season as he continues to put together an impressive start to 2026. The veteran has appeared in eight games out of the Rockies' bullpen and has allowed one earned run on eight hits with an 18:4 K:BB ratio in 18 innings. With Victor Vodnik allowing five runs in a blown save on Thursday, it would appear that the closer role in Colorado is in flux. Senzatela could be the new leader in the clubhouse as you can't get much better than what he has provided thus far.
