Michael Lorenzen suffers third loss of season Thursday

by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Fri, May 1st 12:00am EDT

Michael Lorenzen went 5.1 innings on Thursday and allowed four runs on four hits, walked three, and struck out five. He dropped to 2-3 on the season in Colorado's 6-4 loss to Cincinnati.

Fantasy Impact:

Lorenzen's five strikeouts were a season-high and the four hits he allowed on Thursday marked a season-low in his seven starts. However, two of the four hits he gave up left the yard which accounted for three of the four runs. The veteran righthander has been better in his last three starts, going 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA and an 11:4 K:BB ratio in 17.1 innings. All told, he will take a 2-3 record, a 6.09 ERA, and a 1.76 WHIP into his next scheduled start on Tuesday against the Mets.
