Tyler Freeman hits first home run of season Thursday

by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Fri, May 1st 12:08am EDT

Tyler Freeman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run on Thursday, but the Rockies dropped a 6-4 decision to the Reds.

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman got the Rockies' offense started with a two-run home run in the top of the first inning against Cincinnati starter, Andrew Abbott. It was his first home run since going deep on August 16 of last season against the Diamondbacks. Freeman, a solid contact hitter, is batting .286 (16-for-56) through 18 games this season. But, don't expect much in the power department as Thursday's home run was just his third over 128 games in a Rockies' uniform.
