Mike Trout reaches base four times, homers Tuesday

Mike Trout went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks, and two runs scored on Tuesday to lift the Angels to a 4-3 win over the White Sox.

Trout got the Angels on the board with a solo home run in the bottom of the first off of Chicago starter, Erick Fedde. It was his 11th home run of the season, moving him into a tie for fifth in the American League. He walked in the third, walked and scored in the fifth, then singled in the eighth to complete his perfect day at the plate. The Trout resurgence continues as he is hitting .348 (8-for-23) over his last seven games, upping his season average to .262 with a .999 OPS through 36 games. He leads the AL with 36 walks and ranks second in both runs scored (32) and on-base percentage (.436).
