Aaron Nola cannot finish off fifth inning Saturday
by Nate Miller | Phillies Correspondent | Sun, May 10th 9:14am EDT
Aaron Nola allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over 4 2/3 innings in Saturday's 9-3 win over the Rockies.
Fantasy Impact:
Nola was not able to replicate his dominant form from his win over the Marlins on Monday, but the righty wasn't necessarily bad in this one. Up to 94 pitches and in a bit of a jam, Philly skipper Don Mattingly decided to pull Nola with two outs in the top of the fifth. Nola's ERA still sits above 5.00 through eight starts, but his 44 strikeouts over 42 innings is a positive. He will return to the bump Friday in Pittsburgh.
