Shane McClanahan picks up win Monday
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Tue, May 19th 3:35am EDT
Shane McClanahan allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six across five innings in Monday's 16-6 win over the Baltimore Orioles.
Fantasy Impact:
McClanahan allowed a run for the first time since April 19 on Monday, snapping a streak of four consecutive starts without surrendering an earned run. He cruised through the first four innings on Monday before running into trouble in the fifth, when he gave up a leadoff home run to Weston Wilson and a two-run double to Pete Alonso. Despite allowing four runs, McClanahan still picked up his third win of May and now owns a 2.82 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with a 5-2 record across nine starts this season. His next scheduled outing is expected to come on Sunday against the New York Yankees.
