JR Ritchie roughed up in fourth inning Monday night
by Nate Miller | Braves Correspondent | Tue, May 19th 10:27am EDT
JR Ritchie allowed six runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four over four innings in Monday's 12-0 loss to the Marlins.
Fantasy Impact:
The Braves just didn't bother showing up Monday night. Ritchie pitched well enough over the first three frames, surrendering only a single run in the second. The wheels came off for the rookie in the fourth, however, as the Marlins put up a five-spot on him. Ritchie saw his 3.32 ERA balloon to a lofty 4.91 with this one poor result. The Braves have been running with sort of a six-man rotation recently, but the team may decide to get the young Ritchie a little more time at Triple-A soon.
