Michael Lorenzen hit hard again Wednesday

by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Thu, Jun 4th 7:05am EDT

Michael Lorenzen was charged with eight runs on 10 hits in 3.1 innings on Wednesday as the Rockies dropped a 10-4 decision to the Angels.

Fantasy Impact:

Lorenzen walked two and tied his season-high with five strikeouts, but he suffered his sixth consecutive loss and has now allowed at least three earned runs in nine of his 13 starts this season. The righthander has an 11.88 ERA over his last four starts, allowing 22 runs on 32 hits in just 16.2 innings. In his first season in Colorado, Lorenzen is 2-8 with an 8.01 ERA in 14 appearances (13 starts) and has allowed opponents to hit .364 (99 hits in 60.2 innings) off of him. He's tentatively lined up to face the Cubs, at home, on Wednesday, but you have to wonder how much longer he will remain in the Rockies' rotation.
