Cardinals show confidence in Riley O'Brien as he nabs save
by Chase Davis | Cardinals Correspondent | Thu, Jun 4th 2:56pm EDT
Riley O'Brien allowed no hits and no runs with one walk and zero strikeouts across 1.0 inning on 13 pitches to earn his 15th save.
Fantasy Impact:
After Wednesday's win, O'Brien now has a 3.95 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with 15 saves, four blown saves and one hold across 27 appearances. The Cardinals went right back to him despite struggling with three earned runs in his last outing. His last two weeks have been a struggle overall, but it's nice to see that he's earned a decently long leash. He's tied for fourth in the league in saves and fifth in saves plus holds.
