Gus Varland struck out two batters while allowing one hit and one walk over a scoreless frame to earn the save in Monday's 4-3 win over the Giants.
Fantasy Impact:
After Monday's win, Varland now has a 4.01 ERA and 1.58 WHIP with five saves, two blown saves and six holds across 27 appearances. The 29-year-old continues to share closing duties out of the Nationals’ bullpen, limiting his fantasy value.
