Paul Skenes goes six solid innings in no-decision against Dodgers

Paul Skenes allowed two runs on six hits, walked two, and struck out seven over six innings on Tuesday as the Pirates dropped a 12-3 decision to the Dodgers.

Skenes has now gone winless in five consecutive starts dating back to his last victory on May 12 against the Rockies. He has allowed two earned runs or fewer in three straight outings and in 10 of his 14 starts this season. Meanwhile, he struck out at least seven batters for the eighth time in his last nine appearances. Skenes is 6-5 with a 2.84 ERA and an 89:15 K:BB ratio over 76 innings this season. He's scheduled to take on the Marlins on Sunday in his next start.
