Adcock was removed from the Padres' 40-man roster with the team recalling catcher Blake Hunt from Triple-A El Paso. Adcock has made just 11 minor league appearances for the Padres this season due to injury and owns a 5.48 ERA in 18 career outings in the big leagues.
