by Brenton Kemp | Tigers Correspondent | Tue, Jun 16th 4:37pm EDT
Tigers infielder Kevin McGonigle went 2-for-4 with a homer, two walks, and an additional run scored in a 9-3 win over the Astros on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
McGonigle was all over it in Monday's series opener, reaching base four times in five trips to the plate. His second-inning solo shot was one of five Tigers homers on the evening and his fifth of the season. The 21-year-old rookie is slashing .282/.390/.421 with five homers, 15 doubles, three triples, 46 runs scored, 25 RBI, and nine stolen bases on the season, and is likely the front-runner for AL Rookie of the Year through the first two and a half months of the season.
