Tyler Phillips gives up three homers in loss Tuesday

Tyler Phillips allowed eight runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four across four innings in Tuesday's 8-2 loss against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Phillips made his fourth start of the season on Tuesday, and it was the first time he allowed more than three runs in an outing. He was hurt by the long ball, surrendering three home runs that accounted for five of his eight earned runs. As a starter this season, he owns a 5.60 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 15 strikeouts across 17.2 innings. He is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the San Francisco Giants.
