Kodai Senga struggles again in loss to Cubs

by Bruno Mulé | Mets Correspondent | Wed, Jun 24th 8:40am EDT

Kodai Senga (0-6) took the loss Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing seven runs on three hits and five walks while striking out six over 3.2 innings. He opened with two strikeouts in the first inning, but the second unraveled after two walks, a hit batter, and a three-run homer by Pete Crow-Armstrong. Senga later allowed a two-run homer to Dansby Swanson in the fourth.

Fantasy Impact:

Senga has allowed 27 earned runs over his last five starts while failing to complete more than four innings in any of them. He owns a 10.08 ERA, 1.92 WHIP, and 34:22 K:BB through 27.2 innings, and manager Carlos Mendoza suggested he could be removed from the rotation in the near future.
