Kazuma Okamoto gets three hits, knocks in three Tuesday
by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Wed, Jun 24th 10:15am EDT
Blue Jays third baseman Kazuma Okamoto went 3-for-4 with two walks, three RBI, and a run scored in a 9-7 loss to the Astros on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Okamoto was an on-base machine on Tuesday, reaching base in five of his six trips to the plate with three singles and a pair of walks on the evening. He drove in two big runs to give the Blue Jays a 6-4 lead heading into the ninth, but the Astros would tie the game and send it to extras. After a three-run homer from former Blue Jay Joey Loperfido the 11th, Okamoto tried to spark a Jays comeback with an RBI single, but that knock would cap the game's scoring. Okamoto has been hot of late and is slashing .241/.326/.464 with 17 homers, 40 runs, and 49 RBI across 77 games on the season.
