Sean Manaea did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Cubs after allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out four and generated 10 swinging strikes. Manaea allowed consecutive doubles to begin the second inning before five straight batters reached in the fourth, with two Mets infield errors contributing to his early exit.

Manaea has posted a 3.86 ERA with a 22:5 K across five appearances as a starter or bulk reliever. He is scheduled to face the Blue Jays on the road in his next outing.
