Reds right-hander Rhett Lowder surrendered three earned runs on eight hits across 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday, taking the loss at home against the Brewers.

Two of the eight hits Lowder yielded on the night went for home runs, while he also walked one and struck out six. He also didn't receive much offensive support while in the contest as the Reds were down 3-1 upon his departure in an eventual 6-5 loss. Since starting the season 3-1, Lowder has lost his last four decisions and hasn't reached six innings completed since April 20, a span of seven starts. He will bring a 4.81 ERA into his next scheduled outing, which is lined up for early next week in a rematch against the Brewers in Milwaukee.
