Nathan Lukes homers in loss to Astros Wednesday
by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Thu, Jun 25th 9:27am EDT
Blue Jays outfielder Nathan Lukes went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a 3-1 loss to the Astros on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Lukes slugged a solo homer in the bottom of the first in retaliation against an Astros first-inning run of their own. Unfortunately, the Blue Jays would go scoreless for the next eight innings while the Astros scored a couple of runs late to win this one by a 3-1 score. The long ball was Lukes' third of the season, and while he's not known specifically for his power, he's still slashing .301/.344/.420 for the season, a line that puts his wRC+ at 114, 14 percent above the league average.
