Spencer Miles takes no-decision in win over Giants Tuesday
by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Wed, Jul 8th 10:37am EDT
Blue Jays right-hander Spencer Miles pitched four innings, allowing two runs on seven hits in a no-decision against the Giants on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Miles wasn't great in this one, allowing a pair of earned runs on seven hits in four innings of work, but he also didn't walk a batter. He struck out one. The good news is the Blue Jays' offensive finally figured it out at the plate, plating eight runs before Miles departed the contest after four innings in an eventual 9-3 victory. The right-hander never figured to get deep into this one, as his four innings came just one out shy of tying his season-high in innings pitched this season. It's unclear when the Jays will turn to Miles again, as he owns an excellent 2.95 ERA across 25 appearances (three starts) and 58 innings pitched this season.
