Pete Fairbanks allowed one hit while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Mariners.

Fairbanks allowed a one-out single to Josh Naylor but bounced back by striking out Luke Raley and Cole Young to end the game. After surrendering two earned runs in his July 5 appearance against the Athletics, he has responded with back-to-back scoreless outings. Despite the recent success, he owns a 6.75 ERA and 1.43 WHIP on the season.
