Grant Holmes allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out five over five scoreless innings in Wednesday's 3-0 win against the Pirates.

Holmes played the role of stopper for the Braves on Wednesday, as the club was looking to avoid a fourth straight loss. Holmes got through five full frames for the second consecutive start, and he's been quite stingy with opposing offenses over his last four outings. In that span, the 30-year-old righty has surrendered only two earned runs across 18 2/3 innings with 15 strikeouts and a 1.02 WHIP.
