Bryce Elder allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out three over four innings in Thursday's 10-5 win against the Pirates.
Fantasy Impact:
Elder only gave up five hits in Thursday afternoon's start, but three of them left the yard. That's been the main issue for Elder lately, as he's surrendered multiple homers in three of his last four starts. During that span, Elder has posted an ugly 11.00 ERA with eight total long balls allowed across 18 innings. He was very good for a stretch out of the gate this season, but Elder is best left on waivers in fantasy leagues now.
