Wells continues an underwhelming stretch at the plate, collecting hits in three of his last 12 contests. The catcher remains one of the more disappointing options in the Yankees lineup despite his above-average game-calling behind the plate for manager Aaron Boone, slashing .153 with six home runs, 12 RBI, 19 runs scored, and one stolen base across 64 games.
