Jesus Luzardo allowed just one run on three hits and a walk while striking out nine over seven innings in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Yankees.
Fantasy Impact:
Luzardo certainly didn't deserve a loss Friday night, but he ended up on the short side of a classic pitcher's duel, as the Phillies' bats were completely shut down. Luzardo has been doing brilliant work on the mound over the past month, as he has not surrendered more than a single run in any if his last five starts. In that span, the All-Star southpaw has posted a remarkable 1.20 ERA and 42-8 K/BB ratio across 30 innings. He'll look to keep it going against his former club in Miami next week.
