Blue Jays right-hander Max Scherzer allowed one earned runs on four hits and three walks across 2 2/3 innings while taking a no-decision against the Nationals on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
Scherzer escaped damage in this one, as he put seven Nationals hitters on base in less than three innings on Tuesday. He got out of a bases-loaded jam in the first before allowing two hits, a walk, and an earned run in the second. He allowed a leadoff walk in the third before eventually being pulled from the contest with two outs in the frame. It's also worth noting that the veteran surrendered four stolen bases in his short outing on Monday. It's unclear if Scherzer will get another turn through the Blue Jays' rotation, but if he does, he will take a 9.49 ERA into a matchup with the Cardinals at home on Sunday.
