Fantasy Impact:
Smith-Shawver made his season debut for the Braves in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets. The 23-year-old righty performed pretty well in his first start back from Tommy John surgery last year, allowing two runs while striking out four over 4 1/3 innings. Smith-Shawver was designated as the 27th man for the Braves on Wednesday, so his being returned to Triple-A isn't too surprising. However, he's likely to be back with the Braves at some point in the not too distant future.
