Tarik Skubal allowed three earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six over 6 2/3 innings in Wednesday’s loss to the Orioles.

Skubal continues a strong stretch on the mound since returning from injury, allowing two earned runs or less in six of his last nine contests. The left-hander remains an elite arm as part of a strong Tigers rotation victimized by inconsistent run support and a dismal bullpen to this point, carrying a 2.79 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with a 7-5 record and 10.8 K/9 ratio across 16 starts.
