The Braves have traded pitching prospect Lucas Braun to the Royals as part of a four-player deal on Saturday. (Mark Feinsand on Twitter)

The right-handed Braun, the Braves' No. 8 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, was sent to the Royals along with left-handed prospect Carter Holton in exchange for outfielder Lane Thomas and left-hander Bailey Falter. The 24-year-old has split the season almost evenly between Double-A and Triple-A, posting a 3.53 ERA across 19 appearances (17 starts).
