Brandon Sproat allowed four earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking four over three innings in Monday’s loss to the Pirates.

Sproat has settled down on the mound of late, allowing two earned runs or less in five of his last seven trips to the mound. The right-hander remains one of the more inconsistent arms in the Brewers rotation for manager Pat Murphy, posting a 5.27 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with a 3-7 record and 9.4 K/9 ratio across 21 appearances.
