Cal Quantrill allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks while striking out six over five innings in Wednesday's loss to the Angels.

Quantrill continues a strong stretch of late, allowing one earned run or less in each of his last three contests. The right-hander provides manager Skip Schumaker one of the more stable options in an inconsistent Rangers pitching staff, posting a 3.44 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with a 4-4 record and 6.2 K/9 ratio across 25 appearances.
