Martin Perez delivers another solid start
by Nate Miller |
Martin Perez gave up just one run on five hits and two walks while striking out six across 5 2/3 innings in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Rockies.
Fantasy Impact:
Perez was locked in on the mound in this one. The veteran lefty got two outs into the sixth before allowing a run, but he ended up exiting with the Braves trailing 1-0. The Atlanta bats got Perez off the hook for what would've been an undeserved loss with a late two-run rally. Perez has been a pivotal performer in the Braves' rotation this season, posting a 3.05 ERA and 1.21 WHIP through 121 innings. Perez is in line to return to the mound Friday in Philadelphia.
