Daniel Lynch gets shelled early as Royals fall
by Chase Davis | Royals Correspondent |
Daniel Lynch allowed five earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out zero over five innings in Friday's loss to the Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact:
Lynch allowed five hard hits and picked up just two whiffs on 70 pitches. After the outing, he owns a 3.51 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with a 4-5 record through six starts and 52 appearances overall. He was having one of the few productive seasons in the Royals' bullpen, but the move to the rotation has been a disaster. In 20.2 innings across those six starts, he's allowed 16 earned runs while walking eight and striking out only 11 batters. The only positive is that he was able to complete five innings in this one and got up to 70 pitches. He'll face the Diamondbacks next.
