Chris Tillman strikes out five in two innings of work
by Stephen Nemenz | Mon, Apr 4th 9:04pm EDT
Chris Tillman got the start on Opening Day, but his outing did not last long. Baltimore received a significant amount of rain that suspend the game for over an hour. When play resumed, Tillman's day was done. Tillman, however did damage in those two innings, throwing 22 pitches (17 for strikes) and stuck out five Twins. The Orioles eventually won the game in the ninth inning 3-2.
Fantasy Impact:
Great start for the Orioles ace today even though the rain cut his outing short. Tillman could start sometime this weekend against the Rays at home. Tillman is a nice deep league or streaming pitcher at this point, but he willl have to prove to owners early on if he can be trusted in 10 and 12-team leagues.
