Carl Crawford is placed on the 15-day DL

The Dodgers have placed the the left fielder on the 15-day DL with a lower back injury. Over the past few weeks, he has been struggling with some discomfort and pain. Manager Dave Roberts indicated that he would be getting an MRI in days coming. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Crawford's injury opens the door for a couple of rookies with interesting appeal. Micah Johnson was called up and could provide an impact in the stolen base department. Trayce Thompson is a power speed option who could see some extra at bats while Crawford is on the DL. Neither should be seen as long term options but could provide good value and DFS play.
