Ryan Merritt possible call up candidate

SP Ryan Merritt leads Triple-A Columbus Clippers with 30 innings over his five starts. The 24-year-old has a 3.30 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 25 strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
If the Indians need bolster their rotation whilst Carlos Carrasco is on the DL and with Trevor Bauer and Cody Anderson struggling with form and health respectively, then Ryan Merritt is positioning himself for consideration. The Indians' No.27 prospect has a 2-2 win-loss record in Triple-A. With a sub-90 fastball, Merritt does not fit the profile of a traditional lefty but he is an intelligent, crafty pitcher. In 2015, he threw two (seven-inning) shutouts, including a no-hitter and allowed just 16 walks over 141 innings. He will be an intriguing pickup if the Indians decide to promote him to the big leagues.
