Chase Headley hits first home run of the year
by Jamison Malasko | Fri, May 13th 8:21am EDT
Chase Headley went 2-for-3 and hit his first home run of the year in a 7-3 victory over the Royals. Headley took starter Ian Kennedy deep in the second inning and added another run scored in the seventh. He is now hitting .194 for the season.
Fantasy Impact:
What's even more shocking is this was Headley's first extra base hit this year. Headley is now 7 for his last 20 which has brought his average from .151 to .194. Hopefully this gets him going as the Yankees need his bat as they don't have a much better option to throw in his place. For now, he isn't worth a fantasy pick up but keep an eye on his hitting as sometimes getting the first big hit can build confidence in a player.
