by James Ignatius Zeankowski | Wed, Sep 21st 1:39am EDT
Getting another catching start during Tuesday evening's 2-1 series victory over the Oakland Athletics, Evan Gattis went 1-for-4 with an infield single in the top of the 7th inning. He also tallied a line out, fly out and strikeout in the game. In spite of this, Gattis has held onto a steady and strong .246 average and .811 OPS on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Though he only got one hit tonight, El Oso Blanco is still continuing his consistently patient hitting. While still slashing .285/.353/.581 since the All Star Break, he also now has a career high of 3.81 pitches per plate appearance. (P/PA) This is a clear notation of his plate discipline to go with the power he has already been known to possess. Fantasy owners should keep starting Evan Gattis on their rosters with the sheerest of confidence in the top-10 consensus ranked catcher.
