Aaron Wilkerson has elected free agency.
Fantasy Impact
Wilkerson exercised an opt out clause in his minor league contract. He has not appeared in the majors since 2019.
The Reds signed Aaron Wilkerson to a minor league contract.
Fantasy Impact
Wilkerson has pitched in Korea the past two seasons. He'll add relief depth in the Reds organization.
Aaron Wilkerson (0-1) gave up two runs on three hits and two walks in the opening frame against the Braves on Saturday but then settled in to allow just one hit and a walk with no runs over his next four innings pitched. Wilkerson finished with five strikeouts during the 5-1 defeat.
Fantasy Impact
Wilkerson pitched well after a rough first inning. He could get another start before the All-Star break on Thursday in Pittsburgh but will likely fall out of the rotation after the break. Wilkerson is not worth fantasy consideration at this time.
Aaron Wilkerson has been recalled from Triple-A to replace Brent Suter (forearm) who was placed on the DL. Wilkerson will get the ball to start Saturday's game against the Braves.
Fantasy Impact
Wilkerson has pitched just 13 1/3 big league innings during his career with a 6.08 ERA including two starts last season. He has a 2.08 ERA at Triple-A this season but will have a tough matchup against a good Braves offense on Saturday. Wilkerson is best left on the waiver wire as he will likely return to the minors at the All-Star break.
