AJ Ramos was promoted to the Rockies roster on Saturday.
Ramos will make his first major league appearance since May of 2018. The former All-Star underwent shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum. Ramos will pitch out of the Rockies bullpen over the final few games of the season.
AJ Ramos signed a minor league deal with the Colorado Rockies on Monday. He has been added to their 60-man roster but has not been added to the active roster.
Ramos hasn't made an appearance in the big leagues since 2018 when he had a 6.41 ERA in 19 2/3 innings pitched for the Mets. Owners in standard 12-team redraft leagues can leave him on the Waiver Wire for now.

He registered a 6.41 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over 19.2 innings in 2018 with the Mets but saved 32, 40, and 20 games for the Marlins from 2015-2017. He'll head to the Cubs alternate site to serve as bullpen depth for now.
