Detroit Tigers catcher Andrew Knapp collected a double and a walk as part of a 16-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday.

Signed to a minor-league deal this winter, Knapp is now hitting .333 with a double, a triple, three RBI, and a 1.122 OPS through just nine at-bats this spring. Despite a solid performance to this point, Knapp remains behind Eric Haase and Jake Rogers on the Tigers' catching depth chart entering the season.

Knapp's productive day also included a walk and a run scored in addition to the RBI triple as part of his two plate appearances. The Detroit Tigers have signed catcher Andrew Knapp to a minor-league contract.
The minor-league pact comes with an invitation to MLB spring training. The 31-year-old switch hitter has hit .209 with 13 home runs and a 69 wRC+ across 325 big-league contests. Knapp struggled mightily across three organizations last season, hitting .128 with zero homers and a 22 wRC+ across 46 trips to the plate. He'll likely serve as Triple-A catching depth with the Tigers in 2023.
Andrew Knapp officially signed a minor league contract with the Giants Tuesday. He will report to Triple-A Sacramento.
Knapp only registered 35 at-bats for the Mariners this season before being designated for assignment on July 9. In 13 games he slashed .114/.205/.143 with two RBIs. Knapp does not hold any fantasy value right now.
