Angels 3B Anthony Rendon (knee) has resumed light baseball activities.
Rendon was placed on the 10-day injured list last Wednesday with a left knee contusion. He resumed light baseball activities on Monday and could be reinstated from the IL ahead of this weekend’s series against the Red Sox. Rendon is slashing .276/.348/.466 across 66 plate appearances in 2021.
Anthony Rendon could be less than a week away from returning. Angels manager Joe Maddon says it's "not out of the question" that the third baseman could be activated from the injured list next weekend against the Red Sox.

Rendon suffered a bruise on his left knee when fouling the ball of his leg on Monday. He will miss at least the next ten days after being placed on the injured list Wednesday. Rendon has been limited to 15 games in 2021 due to hip/groin injuries. INF Juan Lagares was recalled in a corresponding move.
