Eligibility
Anthony Rendon has been placed on the 10-day IL due to right wrist inflammation per Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.
Fantasy Impact
Rendon experienced the injury Thursday while swinging a bat and was held out of Friday's lineup before being placed on the IL. June 6 is the activation date for the 31-year-old, though no official timetable has been established.
Anthony Rendon is not starting for the Angels on Friday against the Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact
It appears to be a regular day off for Rendon. Tyler Wade is starting at third base and hitting No. 9 in the lineup against Toronto.
Anthony Rendon went 2-for-3 with two singles, a walk and an RBI in Wednesday's 7-2 loss to the Rangers.
Fantasy Impact
Rendon supplied half of the runs for the Angels on Wednesday with an RBI single in the bottom of the first. The veteran has picked it up as of late, slashing .321/.387/.500 in his last 15 games. He is slowly regaining some of that fantasy value that he has flashed here and there while in Anaheim.
Los Angeles Angels 3B Anthony Rendon went 2-for-4 at the plate on Friday, hitting a double along with an RBI single, and striking out once in the Angels' 4-2 loss to the Athletics.
Fantasy Impact
Rendon is certainly one of the most overpaid players in baseball at the moment, but he is at least having a better year in the 2022 season than he did over the last two season having not seen more than 58 games in either season. The third basemen is slashing .244/.338/.422 and can be seen as a asset in fantasy despite not being the same player as he was in Washington when he posted a 6.3 WAR in his 2019 season, which led to his big overpaid contract.
Anthony Rendon went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, two walks and an RBI single in Tuesday's 10-5 loss to the Rangers.
Fantasy Impact
Rendon reached base four times on Tuesday, including his fifth long ball of the season, a great sign for someone who has struggled to find much consistency this year. However, the veteran is now 8-for-24 (.333) with five RBIs in his last seven games, so things are trending in the right direction.
