Bradley Zimmer's season comes to an end

Bradley Zimmer (shoulder) underwent surgery on his right shoulder Friday to repair his labrum and is looking at an 8-to-12 month recovery timetable, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Fantasy Impact

Zimmer has had a disappointing season for the Indians. Fantasy owners can move on from the 25-year-old outfielder who is not worth stashing in anything but deep Dynasty formats.

Bradley Zimmer optioned to Triple-A

The Cleveland Indians optioned center fielder Bradley Zimmer to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

Zimmer has struggled throughout most of the season. He spent some time on the DL with a rib injury and batted just .226 in 34 games. Greg Allen's hot hitting made Zimmer expendable with veteran Lonnie Chisenhall returning from the DL on Tuesday.

Bradley Zimmer will be activated from DL Friday

The Cleveland Indians will activate outfielder Bradley Zimmer from the 10-day DL on Friday, according to manager Terry Francona. Pitcher Shane Bieber, who made a Thursday spot start for the Indians, will head back to Triple-A Columbus to make room.

Fantasy Impact

Zimmer has been on the DL for two weeks with a rib injury which he sustained crashing into the outfield wall. He is batting .224 with two homers and four steals in 2018.

Bradley Zimmer placed on 10-day disabled list

Bradley Zimmer was placed on the 10-day disabled list retroactive to May 12 with a left rib contusion.

Fantasy Impact

Zimmer's start to 2018 hasn't gone as planned as he's currently batting just .224 and is striking out at a 36.8% clip while walking just 6.6% of the time. The 25-year-old center fielder is not much of a fantasy asset at this point.

Bradley Zimmer hitless in return to lineup

Cleveland Indians center fielder Bradley Zimmer went 0-for-4 in his return to the lineup on Wednesday. The Indians went on to beat the Brewers 6-2.

Fantasy Impact

Zimmer missed two games with a shoulder contusion after slamming into the outfield wall against the New York Yankees on Saturday. He is now batting .224 with two homers, 14 runs, nine RBI, and four steals this season.
