Brandon Lowe doubles, triples, drives in four Saturday

Brandon Lowe doubled, tripled, and drove in a team-high four runs on Saturday as the Pirates defeated the Giants, 13-3. He also walked and had a sacrifice fly in the victory.

Fantasy Impact

Lowe drew a one-out walk in the first then drove home Joey Bart in the fifth with his sacrifice fly for the game's first run. Lowe ripped a two-run triple in the seventh and had an RBI double in the ninth to finish off his third game of the year with at least four runs batted in. The Pirates received Lowe in a three-team trade back in December and, so far, it has worked out tremendously in their favor. The second baseman is slashing .269/.368/.585 with 10 home runs and 27 RBI in 34 games and leads the team in doubles (9), home runs (10), slugging percentage (.585), and OPS (.953).

Brandon Lowe jump starts Pittsburgh offense in Thursday win

Brandon Lowe went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored, lifting the Pirates to a 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Lowe went deep in the first inning for the second consecutive game, belting a Zac Gallen offering over the right field wall to give the Pirates a 1-0 lead. He singled and scored in the fifth, then singled again in the seventh for his second three-hit game of the season. Lowe has hit safely in eight of his last 11 games and is batting .300 (12-for-40) with three home runs and nine runs scored over that span. Overall, Lowe is hitting .266 with 10 home runs and 23 runs batted in over 32 games in his first season with Pittsburgh.

Brandon Lowe provides lone offense in Pirates' win Wednesday

Brandon Lowe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run on Wednesday as he provided the only offense of the game in a 1-0 win over Arizona.

Fantasy Impact

Lowe took Arizona starter, Michael Soroka, deep with one out in the top of the first inning to give the Pirates a 1-0 lead. That was all Pittsburgh would need as Paul Skenes and Gregory Soto combined on a two-hit shutout. Lowe is now hitting .252 with nine home runs and 23 runs driven in over 31 games in his first season in Pittsburgh.

Brandon Lowe reaches base five times in rout of Reds

Brandon Lowe singled in his only official at bat, but walked four times, scored three runs, and drove in another as the Pirates defeated the Reds, 17-7, on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

Lowe's only hit came in the bottom of the first when he plated Oneil Cruz for the Pirates' first run of the game. He later came in to score on a double by Ryan O'Hearn. Then, in the second, Lowe started a ridiculous string of seven consecutive walks by Reds' pitchers as Pittsburgh built up a 10-3 lead after two innings. He walked in each of the third, fourth, and fifth innings as well before being replaced by Jared Triolo, who was reinstated from the IL earlier in the day, in the seventh. Lowe is having a solid first season in Pittsburgh, batting .250 with eight home runs and 21 runs batted in through 29 games. However, it will be interesting to see how manager Don Kelly shuffles the lineup now that Triolo is back after missing about a month.
