Brandon Lowe (back) has been ruled out for the rest of the 2022 season.

Lowe has been on the IL since mid-September due to lower back issues and wasn't making great progress in a return soon. It turns out that the injury is significant enough to shut him down for the rest of the season. He ends 2022 with a .221 AVG, 8 HRs, 25 RBIs, and 31 Runs.

Brandon Lowe is still dealing with inflammation in his lower back, and it is unclear how long he will be out.

Fantasy Impact

Lowe missed 55 games earlier in the year due to a stress reaction in his lower back. When he was on the field, Lowe had eight home runs and a .221/.308/.383 slash line in 65 games. With two weeks left in the season, Lowe is likely a drop for fantasy purposes.

Lowe has missed a considerable amount of time this season, but it is good to hear that he is doing better and hopes to be back after the 10-day IL stint is over.
