Bryan Sammons is returning to the Detroit Tigers on a minor league contract. The deal includes an invitation to spring training.

Sammons got his first taste of big league action in 2024 when he pitched 27.1 innings in six games for the Tigers. He posted a 3.62 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP with 18 strikeouts. The lefthander spent last season in Japan's NPB where he had a 3.58 ERA in 85.1 innings for the Chiba Lotte Marines. Sammons will likely begin the year in Triple-A Toledo.
