Cameron Bedrosian blows save but secures win

Cam Bedrosian served up two earned runs on three hits in the ninth inning to blow the save but picks up win as the Angels beat the Orioles 3-2.

Fantasy Impact

With Keynan Middleton shelved for the foreseeable future and the closer role up in the air in Los Angeles, Bedrosian did his best to keep the Halos' ninth inning picture as murky as ever by blowing a 2-0 lead. Were it not for Justin Upton bailing him out with a walk-off RBI single in the bottom frame, Bedrosian's night could have been worse but he got the win. It's difficult to ascertain at this point whether he will continue to get many save opportunities moving forward with both Jim Johnson and Justin Anderson also in the picture.

Cam Bedrosian picks up his first save of the season

With Keynan Middleton having pitched three straight days, Cam Bedrosian got a chance to close on Tuesday and retired four batters for his first save.

Fantasy Impact

Middleton has pitched well in the closer's role and looks to have the job secured. Bedrosian will only see the odd save chance and is no longer a must-own in leagues with a saves category. Bedrosian is still valuable in leagues with holds.

Cam Bedrosian blows save versus A's

While it wasn't a traditional save situation, Bedrosian technically picked up the blow save by losing a lead in relief. The Angels' closer-in-waiting allowed 3 hits in the 7th inning against the A's.

Fantasy Impact

Signs were pointing to Bedrosian opening the season as the Angels' closer, but Blake Parker was given the job just days before the year began. This certainly won't help Bedrosian's case if he was hoping to take over as the closer in the near future.

Cameron Bedrosian picks up sixth save on Wednesday

Cameron Bedrosian pitched a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 3-2 lead for the Angels over the Nationals. He worked around a leadoff walk to retire the next three hitters for his sixth save of the season.

Fantasy Impact

Bedrosian has three saves in the last six days and looks like the reliever to own for the Angels right now. Bud Norris' last save came on August 4 which has been followed up by three straight games allowing at least one run. Bedrosian should be picked up in all fantasy leagues.
