Chadwick Tromp went 3-for-4 with three RBI during Atlanta's win over Miami on Saturday.
It was a nice debut for Tromp, who was playing in his first game for the Braves, as he managed to knock in runs on a double in the fourth inning and a single in the eighth. He's been filling in as back-up to William Contreras as Travis d'Arnaud has been out with a leg injury, and may see some more playing time if d'Arnaud misses more time. Tromp hit .259/.301/.453 with 12 home runs and 41 RBI over 423 plate appearances with Triple-A Gwinnett this year.
Chadwick Tromp and the Braves agreed to a deal with a $720,000 payday if he makes the majors.
The third-year catcher from Aruba saw limited action in his first two seasons with the Giants. In 205 innings, he has a .995 fielding percentage with three passed balls.
Catcher Chadwick Tromp went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout as the Giants fell to the Rangers by a score of 4-3 in extra-innings on Wednesday.
Tromp went back-to-back with Jason Vosler in the top of the fifth inning to put the Giants up 2-0. It was Tromp's first bomb of the season. The 26-year-old backstop is 4-for-9 with a home run and two RBI since being called up to back up Buster Posey.
The Giants placed Chadwick Tromp on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder strain.
Tromp was scratched from Monday's lineup and it's serious enough to require an IL stint. The 25-year-old is done for the season. Rookie Joey Bart will finish out the week as the Giants' primary catcher.
Chadwick Tromp has been scratched from Monday's game against the Rockies. Joey Bart will get the start in his place and catch Johnny Cueto.
Tromp has been Cueto's battery mate all season, which is what makes this noteworthy. No reason was given for the late scratch but the team will provide an update at the conclusion of the game.
