The Braves optioned RHP Didier Fuentes to Triple-A Gwinnett.

The move was made for Fuentes to build-up his pitch count. He will start for Gwinnett on Friday. Bowman notes that once Fuentes gets his pitch count up to 90 over the next couple weeks, he'll have a chance to join the Braves starting rotation.

Fuentes (shoulder) made four starts for Atlanta in 2025 and also appeared in 13 games across three minor-league levels, going 1-7 with a 3.73 ERA and 1.14 WHIP while striking out 71 against 16 walks over 57 innings. Right shoulder inflammation landed him on the 7-day injured list to conclude the season.
