Gage Workman cleared waivers and was returned to the Detroit Tigers by the Chicago White Sox.

The Chicago White Sox activated Gage Workman (hip) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and then designated him for assignment. Workman had appeared in just one game for the White Sox before the hip injury sent him to the IL. This is the second time the Rule 5 pick has been designated for assignment by a Chicago franchise.
